We always try to stay away from the politics of this business and when it comes to the online environment there is so much nastiness covered in the cloak of nice words and fancy writings that it makes one sick in the stomach.
We provide this time line so that it becomes clear the nastiness that goes on there at Gaharu under the cloak of sweet terminologies and fancy writings.
2nd of May 2017; OudforLife purchase via our website a 0.2ml sample of 'Itr Al Ward. $39 USD + $5 USD Shipping.
3rd of May 2017; Customercare wrote OudforLife and email to thank him for the purchase and extend the gift of another free sample.
4th of May 2017; OudforLife replies thanking us for the offer and affirms that he is an oudh person and would like to develop a relationship with ASO.
11th of May 2017; customercare wrote OudforLife a follow up email to see if the parcel has arrived and what the initial thoughts were on the samples.
11th of May 2017; OudforLife responds back and mentions that the samples have not arrived yet, but once they do he will be intouch with us.
21st of May; OudforLife makes a post # 21 at https://gaharu.com/index.php?threads/wanted-qurashi.403/page-2 criticising the naming of 'itr al ward and compares it to another oil. He makes no mention of the SAQR sample.
22nd of May 2017; OudforLife emails customercare and mentions that with the sample of 'itr al ward he had received a sample of SAQR and he expressed how much he loved this sample. But no mention of 'itr al ward.
22nd of May 2017; customercare responds to OudforLife thanking him for the feedback regarding SAQR and also asks " What was your thought on Itr Al Ward, are you familiar with Attars vs Mukhalats(blends), or was this your first experience?"
No response from OudforLife.
today 10th of June 2017; OudforLife has another smearing attack at 'itr al ward on post#23 https://gaharu.com/index.php?threads/wanted-qurashi.403/page-2
The link for this was sent to us by another client asking what is the issue with this refund. At which point we wrote the following email to OudForLife, cc'd to bhanny and kooolaid79 as bhanny is a moderator and kooolaid79 is the resident Shaykh at Gaharu.

I pray you are doing well in this blessed month.
A client of ours sent us a link of your posts on Gaharu where you are knocking our product in a sustained manner through a number of posts. I am a little lost why you would do that as you had not raised any concerns regarding the ‘Itr Al Ward with us and when we tried to engage you below in a discussion to explain the context of our product you did not take part.
From your posts it is clear that you do not know the difference between Attar and Muhkhalat, and you have allowed your lack of understanding of this art to smear our product, again I really do not understand your motivation. Sultan Rose Attar that you mention is not in the category of Itr al ward, Sultan Rose Attar is a blend/Mukhalat, Itr Al ward is an Attar. The name is in fact very appropriate based on the Arabic language, Itr of the Rose. Itr is the operable word in ‘itr al ward, and in the art of eastern perfumery is not a blend it is the product of a collective ingredient distillation. We have explained this in detail in the product description, therefore there is nothing misleading there. If you wished for a rose only distillation than you should have gone for the Ward Al Ta’ifi.
Our client also found it strange that you do not mention that your purchase was only one sample in which we sent you a free sample of SAQR, if you had come to us with your thoughts, and as it seems something didn’t sit well with you for you to start the smear campaign, we would have happily refunded you. Again it is the first we have heard about your concerns unfortunately on an open forum, if you would like a refund we are happy to provide it to you.
I have cc’d Brain and Abdu Wahab, both of whom have influence on Gaharu to remove/edit both post #21 and #23 on https://gaharu.com/index.php?threads/wanted-qurashi.403/page-2 as they are unfounded, inflammatory and misleading.
As per the total at the bottom of this page, we will refund you the full $44 if you could please provide your paypal account, which is $39 for the sample and $5 for shipping. This refund is not because there was any short coming in our service or product but as a gesture of kindness for the month of Ramadan since you mentioned it on the forum that you would have liked a refund.

making false and fabricated claims that he was threaten in the email above, and that he was able to tell customercares intentions.
1:53am AST WST 10th of June 2017; refund for $44 to OudforLife's credit card was completed
1:59am AST WST 10th of June 2017; he was notified via email that the refund has been completed and in the same email bhanny and kooolaid79 were also cc'd and customer care again requested from them that they moderate the smearing that has been conducted by this individual at the thread https://gaharu.com/index.php?threads/wanted-qurashi.403/page-2.
as can be seen clearly, this individual deliberately omits facts to present our product and brand in a bad light.
1. Make no mention of SAQR when he first criticised 'itr al ward. or that he only purchase a sample and got another sample for free.
2. Make no mention that he was contact by customercare a number of times as follow up, and he raised no concerns regarding 'itr al ward, yet in public he was happily put bad light on the brand and product.
3. When customercare contacted him he was offered a refund, yet he again makes no mention of that in the public forum but rather he makes more smear attacks.
4. continues smearing attacks after he receives his refund.
It is now 7:11am AST WST 10th of June 2017 and none of the moderators have actioned our request to remove the smearing content. We have also tried to get hold of a contact for the website, and email or postal address but there is none. We have also noted that the spineless site administrator who hides behind a game character name is aware of the content and instead of conducting the site professionally and remove the baseless, unfounded and misleading content, continues with the school yard antiques.
Our search into Gaharu's ownership has began as they have been complacent in taking action against baseless, unfounded and misleading content regarding our products and brand. So far our search has brought forward interesting results of who the owners were and the efforts they have gone through to remain hidden. We have some milestone reports showing ownership and when the owners have tried to go 'stealth'.
I would like to make an exception with the effort bhanny has shown even though he is going through a challenging time and is not active on line, he was very helpful. As for the rest the complacency and duplicitous behaviour is appalling, it would be interesting to see these same moderators would behave if it was one of their favourite vendors being smeared by OudforLife.
If the content is not removed within the next 12 hours, and a apology posted online, we will discuss our options with those that specialise in that field and pursue them accordingly.
