I’m not greeted by volatility
neither projection
so I come in close
to a fat oudy slaplike fragrant ghee.
The incense grade factor reeks,
reminding me of dry downs from heavy-hitter oils.
Although sillage is low,
the scent does bloom a little
with a top layer of cream
and a woody agarwood perfume
breaking through that layer.
It’s at this point that “kinam” makes sense,
my jaw drops, sparkles in my eyes,
dang! what a lovely oud,
that caters to the Agarwood Lover in me,
not the Fraghead.
As I search for bitterness and medicinal,
there is some, but as I sniff away
my imagination thinks that a
fragrant chip is transforming to vapor
right under my nose.
It’s an awesome ride

Royal Hainan 2014 from Rising Phoenix today
Found this vial behind the TV cabinet while cleaning. I guess, I never wore it. I can not find it on the shop.
Amazingly tasty oil. I assume no/short soaking on this oil. Amazingly citrus oil with a tart heart and a woody-oudy-musky dry down. Very Enjoyable.

I still didn’t swipe the first two on that list.
But so far, I like Hong Kong Kinam the most.
It appeals to the agarwood lover in me,
not the Fraghead in me,
so I’d rather treat it as a Mon Koh session
than wear it as perfume.

Yunnan Kinam opens sparkling green,
a little bitterness,
rounded resin,
and a tiny bit incensy.
Later,
oudiness emanating
with a little fruit.
Then,
a creamy sweetness.
For the rest of the ride,
an oudy Hainan smell.
