How much the skin weighs in the pod and how much the grains weigh?

For clarity, I took 2 completely different pods of 16 and 25 grams.

Pod 16.3 grams shows us that inside the grain is 11.6 grams and 4.7 is the skin.

This means that 28% of the pod contains skin.

Pod 25.8 grams shows us that inside the grain is 19.6 grams and 6.2 is the skin.

This means that 24% of the pod contains skin.

Based on this, we can understand that the weight of a dry pod has an average of 26% of the skin and the rest is musk grains.

So...dumb question number One and two.
#1. Can the pod skin then be used for maceration, or is it discarded?
#2. When the grains are removed from the pod, what is the ultimate and best way to store them if they are not being used immediately?
Thank you and am eagerly awaiting my delivery even more now....:praying:

Declan, thank you for the smart two questions.
Turn the pod hair down and make an incision with a scalpel around the half that is hairless.
Then take it off as a lid from a jar and you will see a lot of grains inside.
Clean the remaining musk from the hairless half of the wall and throw it away.
After you free the pod from the musk grains, use the half with the hair to tincture.
It is steeped in the secret of Ketone-muskone.
If you want the grains to remain semi-dry, place them in a tightly closed jar and store them in the refrigerator.
If you want the grains to dry completely, put them in a dark place at room temperature for storage.
Or better yet just add the grains to the Mysore sandalwood oil
