Just received my order from Aroma Sublime.

Viet Nui Cam and Viet Wild Exquisite.

VNC opens with some spicy fermentation notes. You get this really nice overripe fruit note like in a classic Cambodian. Feels almost red. Theres spicy tobacco and light musky leather. Lots of golden honey and sweetness as it progresses. Really solid opening if you like the old style of distillation but by no means is this barnyard or even cheesy.

VWE surprisingly smells like a new gen Malaysian. It has a sweet cola opening with bright florals and fizzy honey. Pretty surprised with this.

Now the real question is wether the price is worth it. Both of these carry a hefty price tag. Its hard to say if either warrants a $250 a gram price tag BUT Im not upset about the smell either. I think Id be comfortable paying $150-200 no questions asked. $250 is a hard sell because theres lots of great oils in that range.

hahah thanks, i appreciate that :) :)

Im going to go ahead and mention the thing OUR Brandon has been too humble to say. Our Brandon is a far more successful YouTuber than the other Brandonjust in a slightly different space. 46k subscribers, over 7mil views, on YouTube since 2006. Its not even a fair comparison. A more apt title might beThe More Successful OG Brandon.

Oh wait.. this is Oud of the Day Pusong LTD today...REALLY nice. Reminds me some of Royal Guallam. The LTD oils are definitely not like anything else. They prob dont justify their price tag but that profile is soooo addictive.

Does anyone know of a good natural Sandalwood and Oud attar?
I wish mellifluence had one, I would buy in a heartbeat!
Abdullah has a bunch of sandalwood/Oud compositions or are you wanting specifically just sandalwood and Oud? If thats the case you can do that easily on your own and its a lot of fun experimenting with the two materials.

Otherwise check Mellifluences page because just about every single Attar centers around sandalwood and Oud in the base.

Night swipe EO Bois De Borneo

This oil affects me similarly to
EO Hong Kong Kinam, in that it starts off with a ghee vibe, but then smells like an addictive oudy incense chip, but BDB
exhibits its region and HKK its own region as well, and BDB does not enter the kinam scent territory as HKK does.

Suffice to say, I value BDB very much.

Even better. How is this one? I was talking to Ahmed about it recently but I havent seen any reviews on it.
This one is too complex.
The top notes are ethereal. Not quite like the new generation oils but still very volatile compared to other aged oil I have tried so far.
Starts off with fuzzy florals with bitter almond, coumarin-warmth in the background. Then after some time I get Aquamarine goodness followed by some delicate green nuances. Ultimately, settles down into a dark sweet resinous oud liqueur.
The astonishing thing for me is, how it transitions from a THIN smelling oil to this thick oudy potion.
When I first tried it, I thought Borneo/Brunei constitutes the top/heart notes of this oil, making it bright and lively, while maroke is what makes it's base so oudy.
As I said, too complex to comprehend for me but a beautiful oil. Would like to get some because oils of this caliber are rarely offered on the market.

Not that Brandon
AA Royal Myanma - the aroma profile isn't necessarily my favorite BUT the mind buzz and mind zap on this is the stronger I've ever experienced from an oil. a deep inhale reminds me of a brain freeze you get from eating too much ice cream too quickly. or at least how i remember that since i haven't had ice cream in about 8 years lol.

I also have Royal Sumatra and Royal Maluku and it seems clear Taha tells the truth when it comes to his Royal level oils, there is a distinct and clear difference to me. I can't say the same for Oriscent oils anymore, and even for the price the Royal levels are quite cheap compared to Oriscent. Of course EO has some heavy hitters as well but that seems to be mostly be a thing of the past since the last few releases from this category were pretty weak and average. I just ordered a sample of Guallam Kilam so we'll see what level that is on.

Vietnam Wild exquisite from Aroma Sublime is crazy good. Its getting better each time I wear it. The opening is green, floral, and drenched in scorched sugar. Its a relatively sweet oil and pristine. In many ways it feels like a Malaysian sans the fizzy texture. The drydown though is where I got hooked. This time its showcasing a slight Hainan vibe where you get this creamy, musky sweet incense note.

Apparently there was some controversy surrounding the name change and addition to Tonys business. The quality here I feel is on par with anyone elses oils in the artisanal arena so I cant speak on what all happened when Tony had his stroke. Im still not certain this oil commands $220 per gram BUT I dont know anyone else offering a solid Vietnamese oil at this price point.
