Habz Oud - Zamarad. A nice Malaysian oil, bright and vibrant. Feels like it's glistening - Habz done well by naming this 'emerald'. Different to 'usual' Malaysian oils
Al Hashimi - Adnan. Darker feel to this than the HO. I know (knew) a guy called Adnan so this always makes me think of him, which makes me chuckle

and 2 attars by our very own @Oudamberlove - Al Ghaliya 1 and 3.
Of the 2 I think I prefer #1, but I've literally just swiped as I'm typing this.
#3 seems sweeter as if there's more frankincense present.
#1 seems a bit more "biting", sharp and focused, as if the musk is more prominent.

Jannah (Al Shareef Oudh). A wonderful prism of flower gumdrops, a touch of guava, plus a dash of all-spice, ascending a forested tropical canyon, overlaid with an ocean breeze and underlaid with a subtle but definite oudiness. Very punchy and lasts all day. If you are concerned that "pretty" ouds might not be for you -- that was me not long ago -- Jannah might convince you otherwise. Pretty and substantial can co-exist. There are a few oils that just make me happy, Jannah is one of them! :clapping::clapping::clapping::clapping:

Funny, I posted yesterday how I've not smelled an oil that smells like 'wood on the heater' as is often posted but I really got that vibe from the Hainan oil. It starts off very sweet, JK was correct with his 'honey' description but it morphed into an amazingly woody smell, yup, just like a good quality chip on the heater in all its sweet goodness

Just applied super hoi-an from imperial oud. This one is interesting - a balance of some fermented notes I associate with Malaysian oils but in what is clearly sinensis oil. The balance between the rich carrot custardy sweetness of the sinensis and the slightly fermented / fungal notes makes for an interesting and in my opinion pretty classy oil.

Man, Thai oud is interesting sometimes. In some ways the Thai profile is not my favorite, but in other ways... it can amaze. The feel-oud thai oils were all special in some ways - some were odd, but they had a zing to them, at least the ones I got. I have one, not bio-chan but similar wood and no soak processing.

Anyone familiar with the smell of poplar trees along river banks in the spring? It is a sweet, earthy, oud-like aroma. This is I guess a western US phenomenon - not sure how geographically widespread. It is for me the most spring-like scent I can think of, and some of the feel-oud thai oils really capture this scent, and smell more like a poplar grove in spring than any of the poplar bud oils I have smelled. I don't recall the name of this oud oil, bio something or other, but when applied in moderation it is just the scent of fresh spring forest air. Great stuff...
