Makko powder and Guar Gum help

Hi all,

I have found a very simple 2 ingredient incense cone recipe. The Recipe calls for the use of Makko Powder, but I have struggled to get that. So have substituted it for Guar Gum. The recipe is 3 tsp of white sage powder and 1 tsp of makko powder. Would anyone be kind enough to help me and tell me how much Guar Gum substitute I should be using please?

I really appreciate any help you can give me, thank you

I never made cones or used white sage powder, but if I were to experiment, I’d try 10% guar gum.

Makko helps with combustion, but if white sage powder burns easily, that may not be an issue.
