My pleasure akhi
Virgin Sumatran Island chips (Feel Oud), with a sprinkle of Dhikrayat bukhoor (Al Shareef Oudh) on low temperature.
Gotta agree about the Black Sacra frankincense, it’s awesome! Less citrusy than green hojari, more like a honey caramel but not too sweet. Lots of oil content, doesn’t look as nice hojari but smells amazing. When it’s raining or cold out, it’s even better!
Got mine from Dan at Apothecarys Garden on Etsy, his listing has good info:
Highly underrated and undervalued indeed. Thanks for the link
Try www.fredsoll.com/ he uses alot of resin in his sticks. the best frankinscense on a stick i ever bought….
thank you very much, this looks good I read some reviews and people say it is like the resin smell already order 2 x
Fred Soll's Frankincense Classic Incense, 20 Sticks
That's great. I think you are going to enjoy it
Some Sri Lankan chips that @Tayib sent over to sample with the oil i purchased from him... should’ve bought some of this wood too!
Don’t have much Walla Patta experience but these are really nice on low heat! Awesome deal he’s offering at $5USD/gr!
Link to his sale thread:
Grandawood agarwood powder. on low heat really pleasant smell but not as intense as agarwood chips. . dissipates fast when not heating
Grandawood superior incense : a bit smokey for me, after the smoke settles down a subtle agarwood smell lingers. i prefer the powder but the scent doesn't last as long as the incense does.
It is Sunday and on Sundays I like to burn resins (someday agarwood will be burnt but for now I am content with agar in blends and oils). I am burning some very nice Dragon's Blood resin today. I tried to burn it twice already but both times without succes as the charcoal was too hot I guess. Today I waited for the charcoal to turn to ash (90%) and finally the smell came out great. What a glorious scent it leaves that lingers in the room.
blend created for the prince of Bhutan, standard buddhist herbal stick formulation with added Aquilaria malaccensis....
nice twist on a himalayan standard...
Heating a Incense ball on low heat on a flat burner tonight.
Al Hashimi Philipino Sinking wood dusted and mixed into vanilla infused ambergris honey. It was made into a fine paste and then rolled into small balls .
Such a decadence that engulfs the space settling on everything it touches , the whole room has become magnetized and animalistic . Something to burn for your lover i think or to enchant one
Got the charcaol going and then put on a mica square.
added sliver of myore sandalwood ... waited a minute or so and voila ... creamy sweet fragrance ... kept on coming from the small piece. Unbelievable!
and then i added a small sliver of Krassana .. and the two begin to sing together .. nice combo !!
the sandal is going on now..
Just made my day ..
Someday, add some Frankincense as well.
The sequence I adopt is:
I will Rai/ thanks
Virgin Sumatran Island chips Feel Oud. Perfect for our windy and cold weather.
Update: It is been on a KZ style heater for more than 60 minutes and still giving off heavenly aromas. Can't thank KZ enough.
