true thank you @AbasFrag !
@Sproaty !!!! Sproatyyyy ?
What did you burnt and how was it ?
I burned Al Hashimi's Sinking Kalimantan from @Alkhadra and then some sandalwood from @RisingPhoenix
TBH, I think I preferred the sandalwood!! :O Burning sandalwood smelled better than the oils to me, it really released that creamy goodness. mmmm
I tried the oud first and sat there waiting for the bit to start smoking, except I had the temperature too low LOL
Is that multi voltage ? Did you put to the max ?
I love burning sandal too !
Believe me, dearest Farid, respected Sproaty burnt Oud and Santal, and the burner was from respected Faizal.
Lol I wanted to be really sure !
It was around 6-8v, thanks for the tips on starting higher and coming back lower (on what's app), mon frere
My pleasure fréfot hope you will spend nice time with it !
@Sproaty has just made a strike on a sandalwood description CONGRATS !
And a 2nd one with Franckincense !
Welcome to the world of burning @Sproaty
Please be patient with your teacher, I know he can be LOL!
but he was my teacher also and the best
nawww he's lovely!!
keeps telling me to do some strange things though. "go to a store and smell a box of bananas. Go on, stick your head right in"
Hahahahahah!!!’ Yes he made me go to a store and smell smoked salmon -.-
So I guess bananas is fine
He needs to know what is walla patta and you needed to know how to crack mettei opening, I saw he received sample of it so please don't spoil lesson number 2
I chose to fumigate today.
Onto a hot burner went some Malaysian, then Hindi, then Cambodi chips.
Now my room has a nice lingering aroma
question for some of you more experience burners, I do not get the agarwood burning at all, try many different types and it is just not for me. But I like very much burning frankincense resin only the green hojari type. I will like to get some frankincense sticks already try few different types sticks from etsy but none of them smells like the actual resin. Are the sticks same like the frankincense oil smells very different from the actual resin?
Short answer my friend : 50% binder, 15% charcoal, rest is franckincense lol !
Have you tried wood on an electric heater with lower heats ?
yee, try it all, wood burning not for me
Just got a new burner so I’ve been trying it out. I love it
Burn of the day:
Wild Assam, Sri Lankan, Vietnamese , filipino, brunei, Sarawak and Malaysian oud.
Also some cultivated Thai
Finished of with the best frankincense I’ve tried to date.
Fresh black Boswelia sacra ( enjoyed it much more than the green more expensive one) and some AMAZING socotran frankincense that smells like green apple, lemon peel and sweet ripe honey melon :O
Thank you so much @hedycent for the frankincense!!!
What a burning day
Can u mention source from where u bought them
Sent from my HTC Desire 626 dual sim using Tapatalk
Most of the wild ouds are from Alhashimi stock (Sorry @Alkhadra )
The Sarawak and Brunei are private older stock.
The cultivated Thai is from Feel oud
The frankincense I got as a gift from a buddy that I mentioned
