Generally speaking, insect formations are highly prized in the Far East ... but i hardly ever see them spoken of or distinguished as a class in the Gulf.

In the Far East, they are often referred to as "bug bitten" - and bug bitten, as an expression, is most often found in a particular class of tea. Insect formations - both in the tea world, as well as in Agarwood - produce special reactions from the plant that yields an especially unique and sweet flavor. In the tea world, they'll describe the flavor as "Honey", and call them as a class "Mi Xiang". This small batch of Black Ant wood has a distinctive Mi Xiang sweetness to them. Special stuff, indeed.
