This thread is for those who wish to share photos of their beads.

I’ll start off with what I’m wearing today.

Swamp Agarwood with nice chatoyance, very heavy and sinking.

Kudos for using the word "chatoyant" in your description! Beautiful beads.

I have seen many different patterns and colors of the “so-called” Buaya Agarwood.

I am beginning to suspect that there is more than just one species involved.

Some of them are a bit fragrant, nice smell too, which further tells me, that there must be different species.

381F91A9-8263-4FE6-8CB0-EDD8D1E75368.jpeg This one has the best smell, similar to Malaysian agarwood chips, but more of the woody note, than the spicy or sweet notes.
In general, the Buaya Agarwood is not a very fragrant wood, so most of my beads have very little to no smell.

Got these beads carved out of sinking grade Mysore Sandalwood:
    IMG-20190810-WA0010.jpeg

Powder is a by-product. Only one billet was given to the respected carpenter, and got eight beads. Last time, I could get five because the small pieces for carving beads got cracked.

Next plan is to have 33 beads of small size. Powder is to be used lavishly, for heating and incense making.

Not similar colors or like patterns, but each bead chosen for maximum chatoyance.

Unfortunately, that doesn’t come through in the picture.
