I know quite a few of us are resident of the middle-east and / or knowlegeable about this region of the world, which sadly I am not that much...
For a story I am working on, I was wondering if Aventurine is a stone that is used, known and / or appreciated in the arabic peninsula and around (oman, uae, saudi arabia) and more widely in the middle east
(I am referring to the natural gemstone, not aventurine glass)
If yes...
.. any color?
... also, is it more used as a semi precious-gem and / or as a “crystal with properties” as it is the case here in Europe?
I would be very grateful for any first hand feedback: I have tried to look online for information but didn’t find anything conclusive
It is very interesting for my story for the associations it has with chance here, but wouldn’t make sense if the stone was not used or known at all in the places I mentioned above.
