Is there a date/location for this set yet? I am trying to see if I can finagle a work trip out to London as my company's HQ is in a WeWork office near London Bridge.

Perhaps we find that oud renders us immune to the virus! Or, more likely, resistant to the hysteria.

Ok... so we will have an OudFest in the UK, but the date will have to be pushed back to late August. That will give us time to both prepare and be able to monitor the situation. It will be up to individual vendors to decide if they will attend.
So that means that @F4R1d0uX (LMK) is welcome to push ahead with the official forum OudFest even if other vendors decide that the risk is too great. Please note that there will always be a possibility of cancellation before the event due to changing circumstances, but we will do our best. We also have a responsibility to our members not to jeopardise their health and safety. As for those of you who think this is all hysteria... well take a flight to Italy and see what they think of that.

I think it’s making the best of a bad situation and helping us all indulge on the social aspect and engage with vendors etc. I commend Nadeem for the idea, we can all sniff our own ouds [emoji1787][emoji1787]

You can’t. But it’s the best we can do given the situation and a lucky few non-vendors will be invited to give their verdicts on the wares. We have to keep the numbers down for reasons of safety and we cannot hire a venue at great expense when border closures, flight cancellations and uncertainty about a second wave means that people will simply not be able to come. The vendors generally don’t even break even on these OudFests given the costs of travel and the venue costs. In a normal year it’s ok, but with things as they are, it’s a big ask for us to expect them to do that.
There will be special offers and new releases to compensate for the fact that people cannot travel. If you are interested in attending, send me a PM.

We are discussing several ideas at the moment to enable participants to be able to have the full experience. One of the vendors has suggested making available samples of unreleased products at below cost price for attendees who can’t be there physically so they can purchase them before the event and take part.
