RBO bandabar no soak today. Thanks to rbo for a free sample they sent with the vetiver.

This is a nice Hindi style without some of the sour or manure and fermented notes that sometimes are present. is like dry recently tanned leather, some kind of smooth chocolate vibe without smelling like chocolate. I think if you like no soak Hindi ouds you will be very happy with this oil. I don’t think this is a beginner level oud. This is primal stuff...

EO2

I always wanted to know the strength of this vs Sultan Musk Attar.... the composition to my nose is similar but from the longetivity and closeness I have to give it to the Attar(may be I'm bias towards oils)

Both are beautiful representations of Musk not only grains but the whole Pod. Strong animalics on display.

I'm so looking forward to compare the animalics on display in Mellifluence's new limited Attar "Labad" vs Sultan Musk Attar... after reading what's in it I had to order.

On the other hand Tigerlust is much mellow and more wearable and acceptable composition. If I have to choose 1 I would take Tigerlust over EO2.

Ditto. This one changes every time I wear it...or at least my perception of it does. Enjoyable.

The moment I open this bottle and sniffing the emitting aroma from the applicator, it calms my nerves. the fresh and energetic jungle vibe of this oil makes me speechless.

I apply a half swipe of this oil on my upper wrist and close my eyes.
the gentle aroma of sun rayed succulent jungle floor and mossy woods come to my nostrils.
I forget where I was sitting. transported to the ancient jungle of Sri Lanka. I hear the song of nature.

At this moment, I connected with mother nature.
Breathe in, breath out. breathe in, breath out. breath in, breath out…

Wow love the pepper note on this one.

Habzoud- Muhib for night out.
This is one oil that made me serious on Cambodi's.

Totally agree. If you like cambodis but don't like the funkiness - then this is for you. Someone mentioned earlier that this is like the scent of gently heated cambodi chips and I totally agree. It's not a super loud aroma but a very clean and surprisingly long lasting one. Definitely a new age oil - I'd imagine this distillation was super low heat. Not really florals like ensar cambodis - more creamy guava like.

Sweet trat from pureoud.com today. It’s just a nice basic Thai. A little funky, sweet powdery slightly musky Thai oil. Haven’t smelled enough low end Thais to know how it stacks up, except it is not as nice as the few budget Thais I have from from Feel Oud.

Went frugal today
Pichet’s Laos, J1, and J7
The very opening of the Laos oil made me think I swiped an EO Olde Oud category oil. Semisweet fruit and resin, which quickly turns medicinal and incensy......later it weakens, but super guilt free.

I compared the J1 and J7 against each other. J7 has a little soak note, but never gets barny or foul. It seems to smell just a tad more Cambodi-like than J1.
Good fodder for blends:)
