Hoi An: No doubt, it is a nice oud. Various notes keep emerging every now and then.

Since the day I smelt it, I found it a light version of Qamar by Habz Oud. Qamar was Burmese, I think. But, this, Hoi An, Vietnamese and that Burmese have similar notes, in my opinion. Qamar was rather strong and more incens-y. Well, these particular notes are not of my taste.

EO Aroha Kush

I intentionally did not swipe this for a while, so I can get another fresh impression.

First swipe, I am again reminded of Agar Aura Au Luong. A crystal lake of tea oud. I call this genre “extreme parameter”. I get a little tangerine, then buttery pollen, a little later....oudiness.
It’s such a shame that overall it is a weak oil with zero longevity. But for those short moments, very interesting.

Ripe Oud? Who is this? I googled but came up with nothing.

Any of you all remember the vendor Oudhasi? They had some nice stuff back in the day. Wonder if they rebranded or what happened!?

Oudhasi brings back memories lol, I bought the "Green Gaharu" oil from them in 2010 it was a very fresh green malay/borneo type smell.

I sampled that as well. It was quite tart if I recall. I also got some of their sandal wood logs. They came boxed and wrapped from the Government factory.
