Thanks, cleaning here also varies of seller to another, some try to have it as you said "oud only" some others just goes with normal clean up for wax, extra white wood etcAs always, these photos look great. This is oud! Cleaned at such a high standard. You are only paying for oud with this kinda wood!

This looks like the same quality from kigistan vendor yeah? Really nice. I scraped some today for the heater and it's literally like butter cutting it. I feel like this would make for an absolutely excellent incense stick with a little charcoal to keep it going. Or just given the materials consistency, possibly even to soak in some alcohol for a while and then use as base alcohol for a perfume blend. Feel like bc it's so oil rich (vs resin dense), it would leach a high percentage of it's oils in to alcohol moreso than with denser woods for sure!Cultivated Hainan White kyara bead making remains 50gView attachment 20511
I see what you are saying about cultivated kinam v’s agarwood. A lot of the joy and wonder we get is from the variation between each tree, or even each part of each tree. The cultivated kinam is all from a small number of clones so variations may be limited. This looks like the same quality from kigistan vendor yeah? Really nice. I do find the scent of this stuff to be a bit one dimensional. It's really good and burns forever on the sub. Initially I was excited to burn it everyday bc if smells so nice but there's something about wild agarwood I honestly prefer to cultivated kinam.
Or possibly leave it somewhere dry and somewhat warm for a few days and the moisture should get removed enough to more easily get all the goods out from the crevices?View attachment 20513
I'm grinding cultivated purple kyara right now and it's very oily and resinous. it sticks to the surface of mortar. might need to pour some alcohol and make absolute out of it.
maybe. or I could put it in a refrigerator for a few hours.Or possibly leave it somewhere dry and somewhat warm for a few days and the moisture should get removed enough to more easily get all the goods out from the crevices?
