Last week, I received a package having Assamese Hindi Oud and Sandal oils from Mr Umair (Tabeer).

Assamese Hindi Oud:
This very oil reminded me of precious and rare legend oils Hindustan 1 by AA and Shah Jahan by IO. The reason I could understand is only one: Non-soaked Agarwood distillation!

Prominent Features of AHO:
1. Fragrant trails of foundational constituents soil, fire, air, water!

I won't say it smells like Agarwood on coal or Oud resin on subitism. The aroma is so comprehensive that the grace of wood and beauty of Oud oil have become one and the same in this oil. Mesmerising in real sense of the word. Slight oudy crisp (that I rate high above the rest of traits) is breathtaking. Different accords have drastically been unified that top, middle and base note theory seems to be debunked by this very oil.

Neither traditional barn nor modern perfumey-ness is there at all. Only a dab is sufficient to live Oud as such.

I requested Mr Umair to initiate more batches of one day soaked, two day soaked and three day soaked wood distillations. Then the Hindi Oud Galleria will be complete.

A couple of years back I found Mr Umair to source Sandal. He informed me about his Oud ventures, especially about distilling the wood with zero soaking. Both Hindustan and Shah Jahan and Alamgir I had used, so I had decided not to miss this oil. It took a pretty long time to receive oils from India. In the end, I have got it, and the oil proved itself to be worth-loving and worth-living.

Hope Mr Umair (Tabeer) would sustain the qualitative approach. Wish him all the best.

Now almost all artisans market their oils on Insta. Second, they keep posting about the details of their venture too.

Brother Josh's Insta to review oils is getting attention of the people.
Be that as it may dear Rai....I shall refrain...and allow for life to filter what comes to me, regarding all things Oudh...and by your own posts here, for all thing Musk....inshaa'allah....

Agreed!!!

Come what may, I myself am inclined towards Musk. Last day, I was sniffing Siberian Pod tincture and was recalling a post by respected Al Shareef. One who is professionally and traditionally into perfumery must have something 'plus'. His advice made me explore and experience new dimensions.

Never ending are the dimensions into which I find myself now...happily I might add.
Am currently awaiting some fine musk from brother Uleg...and I have managed to attain some vintage Sandalwood from brother Tyson....
So awaiting on the future to arrive in the present is mot exciting!!!

The only bad news is at this moment he can't ship to many countries due to strict customs on oil and perfume. I am still trying to get the oils but proving to be very difficult.

I received the oils after almost a month, and it was shipped to Dubai where my friend received it and reshipped the oil to Pakistan:Cry:.

Akhi, I am also thinking about doing this. The only issue is, Australian custom standards are one of the highest in the world. So I am not sure if I want to take that chance.

I think all vendors ship to Australia, so no need to worry. Sometimes, I myself get oil through Australia.

Alhamdulillah, I never had issues with most vendors. However, akh Umair's set up is different. I am still trying, let's see what happens.
