Did a comparison earlier of some wallas -
Habzoud fahad vs Sri pada
Interesting and totally different. Fahad goes that vanillic creamy ambery, dries down to smooth dry woodiness - almost like a malinau oil. Has aged even over last few months so nicely.
Sri pada on the other hand goes the space candy route - with a trat pink jolly rancher opening. So cool this opening. Nothing like it - this then dries into that cool rainbow blue green sweetness - ocean jungle vibe.
Ultimately in the end, these arrive at a similar Walla dry down. With the Fahad going woody, and the Sri pada going sweet.
Wallas might be my favorite oil in sheer aromatic profile - there's really no better smell in my mind. That said, I feel like it's not what I reach for most often because they don't pack the same kinda punch and sillage as malays or Indonesian oils for example. Where wallas I see as gorgeously leaning feminine, and I could sniff my arms all day - I think there is something more masculine and hearty with green oils (see mustaqbil, or gyrinops 0) or darker oils (see Nasir, or tigerwood Royale). Just my late night musings....
