Anyone have EO no 1 or 2 and if so how do you find them ? Blind bought both last night and then started watching YouTube reviews, seems some mixed opinions.

Hi,
I have both, i have the 9.ml vials. Among my collection I see it as the luxurious ones and use for very specific occasions.

I dont recommend as a daily scent and I use as an up lifter when for prayers or spirituality purpose. Or as a relaxant after a stressful day, take a real good shower spray it on and just close the eyes and enjoy the Aura.

Mukhallat shams from Ajmal is a good blend and well balanced between woody, tad bit spicy and a bit floral , it has real oud oil

Salam alaykum and greetings to all!

So far I've come to realize that I love dark musky fragrances with a strong rose combination. So here's a list of the fragrances I've tried (categorized by my reaction to them rather than an eloquent description - I'm a newbie):

I love these musk + rose combinations but I think there could be better blends out there: Arabian Oud's Mukhallat Najdi and Abdul Karim al Faransi's Najd

I generally like these: Abdul Karim al Faransi's Sheikh al Faransi, Arabian Oud's Hajr al Aswad, La Via Del Profumo's Oud Caravan No 1, Mancera's Hindu Kush

The most intriguing and fascinating 'out of this world' smell I have ever come across: Areej Le Dore's War and Peace part II (I've also tried Siberian Summer and Baikal Gris - incredible as well but War and Peace... well its on a different level)

The awesome musk perfume bomb that shocks my system - I literally can't detect any other smell for the next 10 minutes: Al Shareef Oudh's Kaashif

These don't seem to make an impression on me for some reason: Bortnikoff's Amber Cologne (EdP), Musk Cologne (EdP), Musk Khabib (Extrait), Mysterious Oud (Extrait), Oud Sinharaja (Extrait)

So here's what's in my shopping cart right now:
Areej Le Dore's Siberian Musk II, Malik al Taif, Oud Luwak, Flux de Fleur, Oud Picante
Roja Dove's Diaghilev, Aoud Parfum, Musk Aoud, Ambre Aoud, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Qatar

I've decided I want to try pretty much anything by Areej Le Dore simply for the experience. So my question is:
1) Which Roja Dove fragrances should I try given my love for musk and rose combinations?
2) Do you have any recommendations for musk and rose mukhallat combinations outside of Arabian Oud and Abdul Karim al Faransi? I find the pure stuff too strong for my nose at the moment.

Jazak Allah khair and thank you!

Is any of the ASAQ stuff out now as good as the old days? I really enjoyed their blends in the past. Oud mixed with molecules produced in a lab is not anathema as far as I am concerned, but it has to be done right. As for "perfume," right now I'm going with a barbershop scent: Taylor of Old Bond Street sandalwood aftershave (has no sandalwood smell to my nose at all) with 3 drops of Vanuatu sandalwood oil mixed in.

No I haven't.

So far I haven't been impressed with Bortnikoff's products. I've tried five samples so far: Musk Khabib (I don't mind this one), Mysterious Oud (not bad at all), Oud Sinharaja (oh dear - what is this?), Musk Cologne (no reaction), Amber Cologne (no reaction). But to be fair, my impressions were affected at the time by my strong reaction to Areej Le Dore's War and Peace II - that just blew my mind so everything else paled in comparison. :Speechless:

Interestingly I was never blown away by the 5th generation. But will try the testers again. I really loved his Malik D Taif scent

Sampling Musk cologne by Bortnikoff and oud Infini by Dusita..
Musk cologne smelled slightly similar to amber cologne..atleast in respect to the opening notes .
Oud Dusita is nice havent been able to dissect it properly has a powdery oudy opening if I was to say generally.
The samples were tested in a dab format not spray..
I have a question.. do yall think sampling from a spray gives a better idea about a perfume than a dab ?

Yes. I absolutely hate it when companies provide these dab samples of spray fragrances.

It would take so many swipes to match the equivalent of 2-3 sprays which would be a decent "wearing" of the scent IMO.

Not sure if this is the best place for this - hopefully it will reach enough eyes. The UK perfumer www.beaufortlondon.com is offering a scented hand sanitizer with all profits going to a UK mental health charity. They have some good perfumes- I like the Tonnerre.

The hand sanitizer has an elegant bottle and the correct amount of alcohol to be effective. Yes, it may interfere with whatever scent you are already wearing, but it's good to give to charity and have an elegant product as well.

I don't give to charities blindly, even though this isn't much money I like to see what the charity does, how effect it is, etc. For US charities I use charity navigator.org. I tried and gave up for the UK. That's it- just a good practice. Recommendation without homework:)

I have not attempted to purchase or sample colognes in years - you can blame that on Oud. However, recently, curiosity got the better of me and I purchased 3 discovery atomizers directly from Roja Dove. Purchased straight from the vendor in order to put to rest any potential doubts of authenticity of the samples.

I was honestly dumbfounded - after an hour or two maximum, they turned into a skin scent and faded away into oblivion (all three). Even when I sprayed on clothes, I could barely smell them the next day. Longevity is truly abysmal.

Is it just me, or can anyone else validate my experience?
