This thread is for those who wish to share photos of their beads.

I’ll start off with what I’m wearing today.

Swamp Agarwood with nice chatoyance, very heavy and sinking.

I have seen many different patterns and colors of the “so-called” Buaya Agarwood.

I am beginning to suspect that there is more than just one species involved.

Some of them are a bit fragrant, nice smell too, which further tells me, that there must be different species.

This one has the best smell, similar to Malaysian agarwood chips, but more of the woody note, than the spicy or sweet notes.
In general, the Buaya Agarwood is not a very fragrant wood, so most of my beads have very little to no smell.

Got these beads carved out of sinking grade Mysore Sandalwood:

Powder is a by-product. Only one billet was given to the respected carpenter, and got eight beads. Last time, I could get five because the small pieces for carving beads got cracked.

Next plan is to have 33 beads of small size. Powder is to be used lavishly, for heating and incense making.

Newly Carved Mysore Sandal Beads. Today collected from the respected carpenter.

I gave him four billets to carve thirty three beads. Powder is a lot. Very aromatic.

Next venture to make a box for Musk maceration out of scores of Sandal billets in reserve.

Very nice.Are they seeds?
Not sure. I was told it was agarwood, but I've not had any experience with agarwood rosarys, (not having have handled them yet) to identify as such. The tasbeeh does however , , give off a soft sweet scent when held close to the nose.

That doesn’t look like agarwood though. Should be more grainy / speckled / striped I think.

Could those be agarwood seeds? I’ve seen bodhi seed Buddhist malas
Agarwood seeds.... hmm could be! I was told that it was from agarwood afterall. Just not which part of the tree.

Amanitamusc also asked if it was from seeds. I had thought he was referring to date pits or something similar.

I found this image on google and the similarities are evident .
