Barn Bro
After a very nice few cups of Darjeeling spring delight, I started my morning with some sinking Filipino, kodo-style.

Had a session with @Habz786 's Sinking Sri Lankan oud. wow.
I've been rather blasé with burning oud lately - I just break some pieces off, stick it on my burner at 3/4 max temperature and go about my day with the oud on the heater maybe 8-10ft away. Never paying attention to it.

I'd read somewhere our dear @powdernose posting about Taha's generation 3 burning technique involving burning a small piece of wood at high heat then turning it down, turning it down again then blasting it up again, turning the piece over and repeating. I thought I'd give this a shot, and for the first time in ages, I sat in front of the burner actually paying attention to the wood for a good 10 minutes. wow, what an experience. I burned about 1/8th of what I usually do and my experience was so much better for it. I had a bit of "head light/numbness" (although perhaps attributed to breathing heavily and focused for a while) and really felt into it while doing so.

I need to not take this whole oud burning so lightly and to be much more present while doing so - I will definitely be doing this with more types of woods to see what other amazing burning I can experience!

Dude!
Burning oudh covers many levels.
From the faintest top notes, to all-out fumigation.
It can get “so involved”, that I feel......the amount of time and attention spent on it is meditative in itself. Excellent therapy for well-being!

I followed the session with some Tokusen Kyara Kayou.
Thick smoke of bliss:Inlove:
