I get the chills when I wear this oil. First off it literally drops my body temperature. Cooling. Secondly for whatever reason I get a Sandra out in outer space in the movie gravity imagery. Cold dark and outer space.

Scent wise classic maroke opening with utmost elegance leading way to a purple flower liqueur. Drydown is marvelous. A fine sinus clinging woody, clean mud, forest floor note.

I don’t really ever crave maroke but when I wear them I usually end up enjoying them.

Oud Burmese: Wore it exact on my palm to avoid allergy. Oud Qamar by HO it is. For a pretty long time it retained its opening notes. Really love this particular fragrance, but the moment middle notes and dry-down emerge, Burmese turn to be a nightmare for me.

Oud Qamar clearly shows a high quality wood distillation. Texture of the oil is another beauty. Not loud at at all.

2016 IO kedah thaqeel a malay oil that bring to mind cola nut and cream soda notes in ayu, except here is many shades darker, more caramel, spice, wood. my only challenge is a strong varnish/acetone like top note that sticks around for a while. drydown stage is nice.

IO's Kedah Thaqeel: Opened the bottle after a couple of months, and it was like an Oud jungle has been put on fire, and both aged and less aged trees are on fire. If I didn't know Faheem personally, I would have negated it is a Malay Oud. Kaleidoscopic fragrance in the real sense of the word. Its darkness is not camphor-y and resin-y but like the full moon blanketed by dark grey clouds. A particular mesmerizing sheen is always there to say hello.

After reading dear Rasoul's post, I am sniffing the bottle again and again to have wood and varnish, but couldn't. I remember the day when I acquired this oil, at least two years before, since then I found less change in its graceful Oudwood bonfire in drizzling sort of aroma. Yes, green jungle notes have got aged and mature. Even cola note is non-cola because such thickness is enough to kill juvenile cola note. I will wear it again to spend more time with this oil to have rather minute study of the notes.

I greatly miss the oils released in 2016 and 2017. But I don't miss the prices of that time at all:Roflmao:.

malay oils sometimes have a walla vibe and this one is one of those, but i still see it as a malay oil. those cream soda and cola nut notes are notes i have only ever gotten in malay.

my sample is down to point 0.1 so likely quite oxidized and advanced. acetic bacteria only gain with exposure to air so that may explain the varnish note.

I love Kedah's incense laden pungency that Green Papua lacks. If you have ever visited some place where wheat grains are being ground, that aroma is here in Kedah that you might have equated with cream soda and nut notes.

I just swiped on my palm where it will stay for hours and remain intact as compared to other part of the hand or arm.

i know what you mean. i see that. esp as the oil sits for a while and the soda notes evaporate.

Exactly. All such notes are very much alive in my memory because of my being a villager, even today. For twenty minutes I smelt like coming out of the kitchen after kneading flour:Roflmao:.

But this is fully ripe oil now, but Ayu has just started climbing up the second bluff towards the peak. I always found weak or better say delicate trails of Oudy fragrance in Ayu while in Kedah those are balanced and strong. But my findings are from an Ayu's sample vial.

Haven’t had the luck to try the other two but I am so glad I managed to experience Qandahaar III!

The longevity for Al Malek Al Hindi is insane. Easily over 15 hours. The dry down remain intact and rich after an extended period of time - which I find amazing, as most oils tend to lose its clarity after that amount of time.
Silage wise - it’s on and off, almost like a phantom. But I suppose it could be because of olfactory fatigue given it is quite powerful!

thank you sir, yes the longevity is off the charts on this one!

FO's wild Oud series is just awesome. FO is like hidden treasure. I see extremely less discussion on FO's oils, but, in reality, the oils are always superb and way better than a lot of legendary oils. But WILD, not organic.
Russian Adam is one of the best distillers and it's a shame we don't see him on this forum. Nether the less I agree his wild oils are underrated and deserve more exposure. Some of my favorite oils are from Feel Oud.

I get once a sample of one of his crazy experiments with cultivated Thai wood, I think it's called oud bizet and was many month soaked : I found it to be a terrific oud for the price.

So I kindly don't agree with @Rai Munir and you :p even at least some of his cultivated oils are nice.

I had the opportunity to talk once with him and I think even the individual is very nice too .

I am scared of FO's cultivated oils. But some members loved and love those oils. The best example is Funk Master.

No doubt, respected Adam is a lively person. And very professional of course that I think all the vendors are.

FO's wild Oud are outstanding. I couldn't understand why FO's wild oils are less seen in the thread Oud Review. I observed three very important things: Adam doesn't actively participate in any discussion on any forums. He very rarely offers private selling, or it is not in my knowledge. I haven't seen any discount on any occasion, even not on Black Fridays.

I think it could be his own decision not to be on this forum; otherwise, this forum is all 'heart' that is so ample to let everybody step into. Even I am immensely tolerated here.
No doubt, his 'wild' Oud oils are second to none. This is my view after spending approximately two years with FO's oils. Respected Adam didn't try to create 'need' through forums or through forum-based marketing, nor does any member jumped into his camp that somehow or other happens. For example, I always talk about Tyson. I mentioned Tyson because I am sure he won't mind it.
