Just curious...has there been times when you get an oil and like it so much that you got (or will get) a “backup” bottle/vial?

If so, which one was it?

I’m guilty of this...
EO - Dhul Q, Green Papua, TW95, TWR
RBO - Pursat Cambodi

For a long time I had a "no duplicate" rule, which I now realize is dumb, because if I love an oil that much, I should just get a back-up bottle.

Current back-up of OR85
Planned (upcoming) back-up of TWR, TW95 and OS90

none. dangerous game to play. i do however at times have 3 gram or 2 gram purchases split into two vials. one for safekeeping for next generation or my much older self wayyyyy down the line and other for current use.

the other reason i dont buy backups is variety is spice of life and further the excitement, the discovery of new oils, the engagement with the community... will be lost otherwise.

Good way to look at it @Rasoul Salehi
for many years...like well over a decade...:Roflmao: the only fragrance i wore was Issey Miyake l'eau d'issey...so would always stock up when a good deal came up...became cheaper over the years too...lol...
So I think when I got into oud, I had this idea that once I find the one that resonates with me, that will be it...
Certainly is a dangerous game...because more than one resonated and ended up with more than one with a back up...or in the case of TWR...8.5gr... :Roflmao:

Still a baby in that part. So far it's only some Bangladeshi oils, some sandalwood oils, and Rose de Malaisie (thanks to @F4R1d0uX for giving me too much). However, I share my stuffs with others as I don't see the point of hoarding for myself. There's also that pleasure of sharing with people you admire, and adore. :)

L'eau d'Issey hasn't been good since at least 20 years ago.
How far back do you go with it?
If you have a stockpile of older formulations it is probably a good thing you do.

Started using it in the late 90’s...unfortunately I used em up as I got them...no stockpile...just a couple bottles from recent years.
