Try it! I do have to say that many times in my head I saw a blend working out brilliantly but the actual results were no good. And this is not from immediately smelling and deciding but rather waiting weeks to months... on that note some creations make a rather noticeable difference when kept to age together while others don’t really change much or at all after blending.

Thanks to fellow ouddict @OudGood, had a great little sampler swipe session this evening!

IO FHI - finally I see what all the excitement is about! Gentle, soft, but powerful stuff!

IO Bahadur - I can get used to this style of Hindi!

AA Ayu - awesome how this one starts out light and Then slowly opens up...just the right kinda fresh green...any one selling any...? :Roflmao:

Truly terrific set of oils you gents got there. What’s missing is a classic aso oil. Rakhwa would be a great start. Or we ask for rubaie 2.0 again and again until they give in and cook one up

    Before Juma prayer:
Wild Oud Hindi (IO): Quite different from traditional Hindi as Sumatran shade is there as well.
Wild Oud Hindi Assam (RBO): Strong Hindi with a lovely hint of smoke.
Wild Oud Ceylon (HO): Rendezvous where the Sun and the Ocean meet.

'Aasifah by Al Shareef. It's hard to sit through the first 10 minutes, very very very very barn like, but 10, 15mins later it smooths out into something much more palpable. Also this is VERY strong - had a comment from a colleague as soon as I walked into the office, and she fits 8ft away from the door!

I wouldn't say so, no. Didn't come across as barny whatsoever, but saying that, I think the same of Noir Velours which is a Hindi!

    Oud Malaysian Zamurd by HO
    Oud Indonesian Celebes by IO

Zamurd is a fantastic fragrance, no doubt. Celebes has developed superb orchestration in a year or so. Today, Zamurd seems more Indonesian than Malaysian, and Celebes more Malaysian than Indonesian. The former one is replete with clear and clean sharp notes while the latter one is replete with dark and deep smooth notes. But both share green colour and notes.

PS: I am very thankful to respected @OudGood, dear Naveed, who gifted me Keo, Turath II, Tibetan Musk Maceration and a Tyson's Attar. I was really looking for the first two oils to try them.

    Thank you very much, Naveed.

Bingo, dearest Rasoul. I was scared when writing about it.
    He is a lovely 'alien'!

I never ever mention the names of the re-sellers or the oils when I acquire indirectly, and 99 % never ever review those oils. But this time I was impelled to mention these oils because they are gifts.
