On the burner today: sinking walla patta. ... so nice. ... I get this sweet banana+clove+cinnamon note with smoky oud. Makes me feel happy like a little child in a candy store

Some Cambodi chips I got from Ajmal on the burner tonight. I think I damaged my electric burner, smelled like it was about to catch fire when I turned it on. I stood on it by accident Guess i'll have to keep the coal burning tonight

I burnt a baby super king chip the other day, there was loads of resin bubbling for a while and then i burnt a peice of sinking vietnamese. even though there was less resin or bubbling from the vietnamese the aroma was far superior. I used to think the more bubbling the better the wood however this is not the case. I have picked up far more enjoyable aromas sometimes from lower grade wood then higher grade wood which is interesting. Vietnamese woods are fantastic and have such a unique wonderful smell compared to many other woods i have tried.

One of my best oud burning experience is with EO Aceh 2001.

there is no bubble (or very little) when you burn it...but the scent is awesome.

Today have been a crazy oud day for me. I found out that I was in love with a stranger called OM5 and we celebrated this with some sinking Vietnamese oud on a coal on very low heat. Now I just want to sleep I'm almost high, I mean dizzy.

The aroma of PNG are earthy green swap is very similar to sri lankan wood but the different are sri lankan more sweetness than PNG ...

I did a side-by-side of Sri Pada and Rajakiya.
SP has many high notes and fruitilicious Walla Patta, while Raja is more reserve, darker, with incense.
However, at drydown they are very close.

The day I swiped Sinharaja, I went to the Mall with the Wifee, didn't get a chance to observe the notes.
The High notes and Airiness are both there, I believe Sinha is more piercing, but I'd have to swipe again for a proper assessment.
