Unrealised and no name lol
beautiful chocolaty opening with a flowery heart
Mellifluence - Saffron Musk Imperial. Very calming, alluring
I am one of those who love rose and Tudor Rose is pure bliss for me. Racine as well. I am glad to find someone who appreciates these attars. Frankly Tudor Rose is not just my favorite perfume from Mellifluence but my favorite perfume, period. Its aroma takes me away immediately. Racine is spectacular also. I really love Mehndi Oud's smell from the bottle. On the skin it is also very nice but from the bottle it is most wonderful.
Now, Rising Phoenix - Pomme du Soleil . Orangey!
Orange peel orangey, orange twig orangey or orange bloom orangey?
smells like the peel to me but I've never came across an orange tree, though the reviews describe it as the latter
Elixir .. sacred incense .
very incensy , smoky , dark feel from the old ages/ something primitive not from modern times.
great sillage and lasts over 10 hours.
Today I wore Rising Phoenix - Kopi Luwak to work, great staying power. Doesn't really strike me as coffee smelling though. Now I'm enjoying Imperial Oud's Mysore Sandalwood from my order that arrived today (technically, yesterday - collected today)
Great. Granules are worth-loving. Low heat would enhance the delicacy of fragrance. If coal is used, better burn something else like Frankincense first, and later place granules on Frankincense consumed layer. A kind of mica plate.
Electric heater or coal, Mysore will come up with full throttle.
It's the oil that I have on (I recall you calling it great recently, and I realised that I had the Ceylon sandal, but not the mysore!). Yes, I Love sandalwood on the heater - it's impressed me more than burning any oud. I have a great electric heater and it's made me fall in love with the butteryness of sandalwood. This may be a bit crazy but it reminds me of freshly made doughnuts
Yesterday i wore Umami Ceylon Sandalwood from @RisingPhoenix, and was blown away!
Now I am a relative amateur at sandalwood, having only properly tried out around ten or so oils from various sources and regions.
However, Ceylon Umami is truly exceptional, in his description on Etsy, JK says:
“Everyone who has smelled it so far without any context has either thought it was an Attar or an Oud.”
Well, I experienced that to be completely true...my impression was that it was a complete fragrance on its own, and when i asked my wife to take a sniff from my arm, she first said it smelled like a perfume, and immediately followed up with is it an oud?!?!!
Also lasted for 8 hours atleast on my skin, evolved nicely as it settled in the first couple of hours, and then just a rich deep sandal scent...excellent!!!
Just have a sample of this one, but may have to get a bottle! Or a tola even!
Nicely done @RisingPhoenix !
Many many thanks Glad you loved it!!
PS - @Arsalan - if you liked the Umami Ceylon, you might also try the Kota Kupang. Although it is more along the lines of a Mysore oil in it's scent spectrum, it has a hint of that bitter almond note hiding in there, and gets incredibly musky buttery smooth in the dry down. It's another distinctive oil. The Umami might be King of Distinction, though!
Palo Santo Alberta Rose. Some oils make me think of a color and I associate this one mentally with red. When I wear a red shirt I have the desire to wear this because it just feels like it goes with red so nicely. Tyson always puts forth exceptional offerings.

Dear Bryan, Tyson's Frank Amber Vanilla!
euphoria - Tyson
feeling very elated
i also smell something mentholic
what ingrediënt is causing this mentholic effect ?
Today I wore Cedar Oud by Royal Bengal Oud - stunning combination
And now I have swipes of 2 new attar arrivals from Agarwood Assam - Hujood & Zaffrani Sandal. Here's what I sent to Zak:
I just swiped Zaffrani Sandal and woah - this is powerful stuff! I've not smelled natural saffron (have bought some strands before but it may not have been "proper" stuff (i.e. it was from a supermarket)) - mainly synthetic representations in fragrances and this stuff is killer!
I also took a swipe of Hajood and I can smell your Rhu Khus immediately, but it's tamed and toned down by what I presume is the mandarin. Wow...I wrote a review of the Rhu Khus recently saying that, by itself it may be a bit too hard to wear, but I can tell that it really comes alive in a blend! It's kind of earthy, damp yet brightened by the orange
Love it. Crystal clear elation.
My kind friend great review, and its wajood .
