MethylParaben is an anti fungal agent use in cosmetic which has many debates over its safety. Currently, the trend is to boycott this agent due to potential cancer risk. It is interesting to find out this substance is in the agarwood (aquilaria's bark). Agarwood is the defence mechanism of the Aquilaria tree, and logically, methylparaben is there to "fight" with the disease which is quite normal. Any thoughts?

Could the parabens have been part of the inoculant used to infect the trees? I know quite a bit of liquid is pumped in there sometimes...
