Oud Fanatic
Hello oud lovers,
I have thoroughly enjoyed my early experiences, but have a question about application. I understand that a swipe is enough to examine the fragrance up close by sniffing the wrist, and maybe also to create a small, subtle agarwood aura. But I've wondered how, and much one might apply to create a more perfume-like performance.
Granted, it is the summer here in New York, so my ouds might not be able to live up to their full potency, but I've found several of my ouds to be quite quiet and difficult to notice without going directly to my wrist for a sniff. Maybe the small amounts in sample vials are harder to get full swipes from. Or do you often double-swipe, or apply to palms and cover your neck, clothes, etc? Are there any other tricks to improve projection?
Thanks for your input, I'm looking forward to writing about my impressions of ouds from Habz and Ish (Bengal Oud) when they arrive.
