Oh, in that case, I think you'll love traditionally cooked Indian oud oils (no stinky barnyard smell what so ever). You ought to treat yourself with some oils and from AgarwoodAssam.im in touch with abdul karim al fransi
and melliflunce
ive tried a few from cambodi to hindi .
but my passion is for powerful fragrances which i actively seek out.
I've made a few posts here already, but just thought I'd introduce myself! I'm Steven, new lover of ouds and attars. I've used quite a few fragrance oils in the past, but these were mainly "clone" oils, but over time I'd just use sprays of EDT/EDPs instead and ended up buying the actual fragrance vs. most of what I had clones of. I also had a few cheaper oils from Al Haramain, Surrati, Al Rehab etc but I'd bought them, tested them once and then never actually worn them.
I'd also heard of Abdul Karim al Faransi but had never bought anything - most of the items were out of stock when I'd check. Back in February I randomly visited their site and noticed their reasonably priced samples, so I placed an order for samples, and another and then another - I now have over 20 which I've quite enjoyed.
I then decided to take the plunge on some higher end oils and attars, bought some Sultan Pasha ones and discovered this forum, where I've been introduced to many new vendors and have since bought from a wide range, e.g. Ensar, Agar Aroma, Agar Aura, Agarwood Assam, Al Hashimi, Imperial Oud, Rising Pheonix
I also review on youtube (under my name, Steven Sproat) but I've been quiet lately and have found my ability to describe scent rather lacking. Now, with oud, there's a whole new lexicon and dialect in use and I'm slowly fumbling my way around it and trying to distinguish the many scents available. Over time I'll start to talk about these on my channel, just like our good friend Nikhil does, but I need to familiarise myself with them more before I do so
Nice to see everyone, it's a very friendly place
Welcome, Grega.Hello everybody!
My name is Grega and I am a classically trained musician who is pretty new to the world of oud and perfumes. Until a few years I have never been interested in perfumes as the synthetics never appealed to me. I got into natural fragrances by buying incense and then trying natural oil blends. This became a great pleasure and now I am hoping to explore more of the world of natural fragrances, blends, ouds, incense...

Bingo! Yeaaaaaah! And dear Rai Munir I am already fascinated by how similar the aesthetics of perfumes are to music. They sure are called notes for a reason. I feel them the same as high notes and low notes in a harmonic progression Regards
Hehe that is what I feel as well, well said! "The note beyond senses" - I feel like all the senses come out of one mediated by time and space Thanks again!Bingo! Yeaaaaaah!
This is what I really said. Intrinsically they are connected with the note beyond senses. Fragrant notes in music. Musical notes in fragrances. Overlapping. You are 'the' addition here.
Super intro @Nicolas !Hi Everyone, Nicolas here, new ouddict in the making
I have been exploring, using and blending essential oils (for myself and others) for a long time. I also use woods and resins.
But I have only been starting the oud journey recently.
I am full of joy about it so far, and deeply relate with the different forms (pur oil, resin, wood) that I have explored. From the bliss of “Listening to the fragrance”, to the aura of wearing it, to more performative uses (alongside energy work among others). Actually, I love it so much, that I am currently starting to build a little personal treasure to get deeper into things.
I am looking forward a lot to learn from this seemingly wonderful community.
Sending warmth and the light of heavenly fragrances your way.
